HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) are inviting you to join them for the annual Grand Open Day at Shores Hey Farm in Burnley.
The event, which takes place on Saturday 1st September, is open to the public from 11am until 4pm, and entry is just £1 per person (under 3’s are free).
This year’s annual event sees the venue celebrate all things mystical with a Unicorns, Princesses and Knights theme.
During the day there will be displays in the Indoor Arena by the HAPPA team, a talk by Stanley House Veterinary Surgeons, and a special unicorn magical story featuring the HAPPA ponies.
Keep your eyes open for special appearances from Shores Hey Farm’s mascot Tommy Trotter, who will be judging the children’s fancy dress competition at 2pm.
There will be a number of craft and other stalls, face-painting, glitter tattoos, games, giant tombola, make a sword or princess crown and much more.
HAPPA’s farrier, Callum Mossop, will be showing how to shoe and how to trim a pony’s feet and there will be grooming sessions for those who want to get up close with a pony.
With lots to see and do this will certainly be a Grand Day Out for all the family.
